"Well, you could work on slowing down as you speak, but aside from that you actually made sense... I'd give you a 4/7. ANYWAY, this is somewhat worrying... You say this orb exploded? Into lots of little pieces? It's very important: could you see the pieces? Where they big enough to be viewed?"

"They were only just visible. I suppose in the same way as dust is visible, though I can't think why it would be visible in the same way dust is visible because I seem to recall that there was no useful amount of light in that room..."

Now that I am reasonably accustomed to being in this place, I begin to move my arms and legs again, also as if I were swimming, in another attempt to experience some sort of movement.

"I see... this is very troubling indeed..."

Your attempt at movement ends with you viewing the dragon upside-down. It appears that you managed to invert yourself.

"Most interesting..." I say as I slowly rotate on the spot.

The dragon continues to stare off into the blackness around her.

"So... what happens now?" I ask as I continue spinning. An odd feeling fills me as my eyes tell me I should be dizzy from spinning, though my weightlessness says otherwise.

"Oh... yes... ANYWAYS! Your trial! If you can complete my trial I can allow you to be reborn as a dragonkin! Isn't that good! Isn't that fun!

"What does this trial entail?" I enquire, Tiamat just passing the upright stage in my vision.

"Oh, some visions and things... Come, I shall show you to the centre."

Tiamats body suddenly develops a beautiful silver glow, taking upon the appearance of liquid mercury. It begins shrinking, slowly at first but gaining rapidly and in speed and deforming into a vaguely recognizable shape - a humanoid, although with one large difference - it has wing-like deformities and strange tentacle shapes extending from it. The new shape stops shrinking once it reaches a height not dissimilar to your own, before losing it's silver texture and regaining the appearance of a woman.

Before you stands a female of perfect proportions, her red tinged skin blends harmoniously with her crimson hair. She stands at around 5'8" tall, yet this is difficult to tell as she floats around a foot off of the ground. Her eyes are striking: coal coloured with lava-like veins running through them - they should appear alien and frightening yet they do not, they instead comfort the soul and bring about a sense of wholeness and wellbeing.

From her back sprout two draconic wings, giving her a wingspan of about 12" in total. They share her red skin tinge, however the space in between the wingbones is a pure, brilliant white. The wings twitch occasionally, seemingly impatient and wishing to be used.

Yet there is one feature that defines her, a feature that presents a stark contrast to her comforting eyes. Four strange tentacle like structures protrude from her shoulder blades; each about a meter and a half in length. They share her skin colour, yet the ends of them open up, similar to a flower. The inside of these protrusions is pitch black, absorbing all the light hitting it; except for the center which is a pure spec of yellow light, simply glancing at it chills you to your bones.

She wears nothing.

I quickly try and arrest my rotation in an upright position, slightly stunned at the Tiamat's shift.

"That was... unexpected." I say, now in awe of the figure in front of me.

"Show me the centre of what?" I ask, beginning to 'swim' towards her while making a poor effort to keep my gaze at eye level.

"The centre of it all. Come."

She begins walking effortlessly away through the black expanse that you currently inhabit.

"Wait a second, how come you can walk and yet I can't?" I call out Tiamat as I attempt to swim behind her.

You feel the sensation of rapidly accelerating, before a point of light appears on the horizon ahead of the casually strolling Tiamat.

"Aha. Here we go."

The point of light hits you about 1/3 of a second later, as scenery suddenly appears around you. You appear to be in an oasis, with palm-like trees dotted around and a relatively large reservoir of aquamarine water. As your eyes accustom to the sudden appearance of light you make a startling discovery: this area is inside a room. A big, yellow walled room. It has a door, which is slightly ajar.

Tiamat turns to face you.

"Don't mind this, we're just experimenting."

She walks towards the door, narrowly avoiding a stray branch. The branch seems to wave at her as she walks past.

"Oh, and ignore the branch, it's just friendly."

"What is this place?" I ask in wonder and, after a small pause ask "and who is we?"

Tiamat stops in the doorway, seemingly contemplating what you just said.

"Oh, we're in the centre; and as for who? It's us, them and those."

She continues through the door.

"Right," I say with a slight sigh "do you care to expand on that?"

I follow her through the door.

You enter another room, this one so vast that you cannot see the walls. Or the ceiling. Hell, you don't even know that it is a room.

Tiamat turns to face you, bouncing somewhat.

"So, shall we begin?"

I sigh briefly, my shoulders drooping by a small amount.

Straightening up, I ask "Begin what?"

Tiamat holds out her hand, a seed that looks somewhat similar to an acorn appearing in it. She smiles briefly, before poking you in the chest with it; you didn't even see her move.

"Have fun!"

The seed stays where she left it, slightly pushed into your body; before suddenly plunging into your chest; yet you feel nothing.

A sudden constricting feeling throughout your chest, before vast arrays of information flashes before you. Yet you feel odd; something does not feel right; you cannot yet understand the information. And you feel weak, very weak.

My eyes widen in shock and I clutch at my chest near where the seed entered.

Falling to my knees I ask, my voice only a strained whisper "What did you...?"

Before she can elicit a reply you pass out; the world going black around you. You awake some time later, lying alone in a clean white bed. The room around you is similarily entirely white, the monotony only broken by the figure of Tiamat standing in front of you; thankfully having gained some clothes. She wears a short red dress that falls to her thighs, and a red headband pulls her hair back behind her head.

"I wouldn't try moving if I were you."
