Crimson Sky

Still coming to my senses, I swing my head around to look at my arm and identify the source of the discomfort.

You see a man with black skin and dark hair in a black suit swinging your arm around, using the blade to cut its arm off.

I attempt to shrug the man off by trying to slash at the other arm, attempting to mirror the action that severed one limb already.

I make use of the being's distraction and dive with both wrist blades slashing at the remaining arm one after the other.

You fumble the knives, dropping them all over the floor.

Noticing the damaged elbow, I attempt to sever the limb at the broken joint.

You catch sight of one of your eyes in the reflection of the knife and collapse, unconscious, part of the basilisks' safety mechanism to prevent its species from being wiped out.

You hear a soft thump from behind you. The pretty girl turns.

"Kitty!" She cries out. You hear her run in the direction of the noise.

The body's grip breaks. The hunter makes another deep gash, slicing about three quarters of the way through its arm.

With several frantic slashes at the shoulder, I try to finally separate the arm from the body.

Dropping my gun, I grab hold of the creature's bicep in one hand and it's body in the other and tear it apart while the hunter slashes at it.

"Victory is mine!"

The suited man ends up holding the arm.

The body staggers away. The face appears to be screaming, although you're not sure, as its facial expression hasn't actually changed that much.

The body stands there for a moment, seemingly confused as to what to do next.

Emmarabella is kneeling next to you, her face inches from your own. She knows you well enough to have replaced your blindfold, but is now panicking.

Through the cloth you can see that she has picked up the knives and rope (probably so you don't injure yourself on them) and is holding them in her lap.

Out of the corner of your eye, you see the body. It appears to be lacking arms.

"Not good... run away Emma, I'm fine."

I begin to get up, and reach for my weapons.

I take a quick but controlled step backwards, and quickly scan the area for any person or object that could be of assistance.

Emma nods mutely and allows you to take the items back, but doesn't move to leave.

You realise by the fact that its claws did nothing, that its form is fluid.

I knot off the ends onto the knives before standing, ready to fight.

OOC: not doing anything else because making knots takes LONG

I unsling the gun from my back and swing the butt of the heavy rifle at the creature, and retreat towards the desert in an attempt to lure it out into the hot, dry air outside the lift.

"GET OUT! TO THE DESERT!" I yell at the onlookers and hunters in order to continue with my plan for dealing with the creature; I repeat my action with the rifle while shouting a wordless battle cry to try and draw attention to myself from the animated blood.
